Luciana Carro is a Toronto-born actress known for her dramatic and comedic roles on American television and
feature films. Before landing her first major role on Ronald D. Moore's critically acclaimed, Emmy award-winning TV series, Battlestar Galactica (2004), Carro booked recurring roles on award-winning shows, such as The Chris Isaak Show (2001) and The L Word (2004). As "Louanne 'Kat' Katraine" on Battlestar Galactica, Carro worked with Academy Award nominees Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell. Carro's international following has grown as a result of her work on Battlestar Galactica and her subsequent roles in major feature films and TV shows. Carro's film roles include work with Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory (2007), Christina Milian and Lorainne Bracco in Snowglobe (2007), Al Pacino and Rene Russo in Two for the Money (2005), and with director Keenan Ivory Wayans in White Chicks (2004). Carro's prowess as a screen actress has landed her recurring roles on TV shows, including, "Stephanie Meyer" in Greg Berlanti's Everwood (2006), "Priya Magnus" in Ronald D. Moore's Caprica (2010), "Crazy Lee" in Steven Spielberg's Falling Skies (2012-2013), and "Anana" in Ronald D. Moore's Helix (2014). Executive producer Charlize Theron cast Carro to play "Trina McCoy" in the ABC pilot, Hatfields & Mccoys (2013).

Maggie Surovell

Maggie Surovell teaches voice and speech as well as dialect coaching for film and theater. She has been a certified associate teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework® since 2005 and is currently a core faculty member teaching voice and speech for the BFA acting program at SUNY Purchase. With over sixteen years of experience teaching actors in theater and film, Maggie has taught at Circle in the Square Theater School, the MFA graduate program at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, Yale School of Drama Summer Program, Sarah Lawrence College, Wagner College, and University of Georgia. Recently she did pre-production and on-set dialect coaching (Angolan Portuguese) for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival selection Farewell Amor directed by Ekwa Msangi and starring Ntare Mwine, Zalnab Jah and Jayme Lawson, as well as pre-production dialect coaching (Dominican) for the character of Manny in Bottom of the Ninth, starring Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara. She has worked as a dialect coach with directors Evan Cabnet, Trip Cullman, Alex Timbers, Evan Yionoulis, Victor Maog, José Zayas, and K.J. Sanchez on Off-Broadway and Regional productions including: Bhutan (Cherry Lane Theatre), A Steady Rain (New York Stage and Film), Shipwrecked (Long Wharf Theatre), Becoming Adele (Theatre Row), Davy and Stu (Ensemble Studio Theatre), Southern Promises (P.S. 122), and Two River Theater Company among others. A certified teacher in Fitzmaurice Voicework®, Maggie has an MFA in acting from University of Georgia and a BA in theater from Temple University, and studied under the late renowned acting teacher Wynn Handman, co-founder and Artistic Director of the American Place Theatre.

After training with world-renowned voice teacher and author Kristin Linklater, Elena began her own career in coaching and teaching in 1998, while continuing her own acting career. Her private coaching clients have included Actors, Financial Analysts, Lawyers, Technology Startups, Software Engineers, Stock Traders, College Professors and Television Hosts.
Elena has coached hundreds of actors and performers appearing on Broadway, film and television. Elena has taught at numerous top tier colleges: Fordham University, Sarah Lawrence College, Syracuse University, Eugene Lang College at The New School, Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles, and Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Mass. In addition, Elena offers Accent Reduction to learn Neutral American speech for non- native speakers.
